Yes, I Have Become a COUCH POTATO

Is anyone else ready for spring? I swear, it's been so cloudy, overcast, and downright cold I haven't the energy to do anything but veg out in front of the TV.

Embarrassing!

I hate being boring and uninteresting but absolutely nothing is inspiring me these days. My current WIP is suffering too. Yesterday I re-wrote the same paragraph a couple of times. Moved on and repeated the process on the NEXT paragraph before finally giving up. As a writer I find this lack of creativity sort of humiliating.

First there was my day of the marathon watching of the entire season of Wolf Lake. Very hot series on the Chiller Channel. This was a show about a town full of werewolves. Fascinating. I spend all day watching this knowing I'd be left hanging because it was a failed series from years ago. No new shows on the horizon. But what do I do? Keep watching, mesmerized, as if the series would magically resolve all the outstanding issues between the characters.

Then yesterday my daughter flipped on America's Next Top Model. Yes, I think she was bored, too. This isn't normally her type of thing. Oh. My. God. Please, please tell me I didn't actually watch this drivel all day and most of the evening. Eighteen and nineteen year old girls fighting over 'who ate my brownies' and 'omg!!! She's in the bathroom throwing up!' and 'sniff sniff...I just couldn't take a good pic today and my hair SUCKS and everyone HATES ME!!!"

Somebody shoot me! I think I've lost my ever-lovin' mind! If the weather and my mood doesn't change soon there's no telling what kind of marathon crap I'll be watching next. Um...think I'm avoiding things? Yeah. Me, too.

I feel your pain. OMG, do I ever feel it! I've gotten to the point where edits are actually fun because at least it's something to do! I'm so uninspired lately it's not even funny. I avoid telling my writer friends that because truly the last thing I need is to hear them say how many thousands of words they wrote. LOL

If we lived closer we could watch the marathons together!! LOL

Regina, I've been stuck on the couch since NOVEMBER!!

At least our snow is sort of gone, but still I've got the S.A.D BAD!

I was joking at my Chapter meeting with our PAN Liaison that our raffle back (which she themed as Spring) was the S.A.D basket. We laughed because it's true.

I want summer!!! Not only for the sun also so I can deliver this little boy who's making typing uncomfortable. LOL.

I think a lot of us are feeling this way lately. I thought of a fantastic book idea that I'm excited to write, yet I can't make myself sit down and write it. I turn the computer on, then find something else to do. I know I need to make myself write but I just can't.

Heh. I must be one of the few people in America that actually likes winter. Sun is shining today. All the blinds are open. And I'm writing... but Anne, I won't mention any word count!!!

Yes, we WOULD, Anne. OMG. I'm a complete SLUG. I did design my own website so I didn't feel like a complete lazy ass! lol. Any little thing that makes me feel productive I'm grateful for.

Oh, Amy, I know how ready you must be to have him. Summer? When is it? My daughter's b'day is June 18...she'll be 18!!!

Our sun-shiny days are just so rare these days. Need some sun, color, flowers.

Aw, Anny, I'm JEALOUS. I'd love to write right now but no, it's pick pick pick.

Think I'll go take a nap. SNORT>
