Back to school!

Can you believe its halfway through 2010. I'm sitting here wondering where the time as gone as I get my six year old ready for her first day of first grade. When did I have a first grader? I feels like I was just blogging about how I couldn't believe she was going into Kindergarten. I blinked and here she is going to first grade!

She super excited which makes me happy. I can be nervous enough for the both of us. LOL. I wasn't as strong as she is at her age. I would have been scared to death, but she's ready for the next new adventure! I love that about her. So while I'll be crying in the car after dropping her off she'll be experiencing all sorts of wonderful things. I can't wait for her to experience that!

In other news, I'm playing the waiting game. I'm on pins and needles right now waiting to hear news from a few different people. I've never been the most patient person, lol, but I've thrown myself into a new work in progress which is helping me pass the time!

My youngling is also super excited to be going into 1st grade:) Got some bad news though; he got the 'mean' teacher. Why did I not request another teacher? Because in our old school district, the request of 'any teacher but X' pretty much meant your child would most certainly be placed in X's class. So I'll give it a week and pray, plus be on the lookout for telltale signs of a needed conference.

Oh no! It's so scary getting new teachers. I know nothing about hers. I hope she's good. I will be thinking about him and sending good thoughts your way.

My kids always freaked out over which teacher they'd get. Sometimes they'd say a particular teacher was MEAN and usually they were right. uh oh.

Wow, I can't believe it's almost here. College is getting ready to start too and we've been busy getting things together for that. It just doesn't stop.

That's another thing we're doing this weekend: taking K to Purdue and 'kicking' him out of the nest, lol:)

I hope it all went well for your little ones! Mine are past that grade, but Alisha starts high school this year. I'm worried, of course.
