What was YOUR week like?

I've had a busy, rather insane week. It started off with day job stress and the news of  a possible shakeup that would mean more work for most of my shift. Luckily we seemed to dodge that bullet, but the stress of what if bogged me down all last weekend.

I've also been working furiously to meet a deadline on a project I'm working on with three other amazing authors, which of course amped up the pressure because I want to make sure I turn in a quality story. Add in a couple other upcoming deadlines and my best friend's thirty-fifth birthday today and I've been running all week long.

But by far, today's events capped off a rather wacky week. They began with getting pulled over by a VERY hot cop, but alas, as this was not an erotic romance story, he did not ask to strip search me or anything equally scandalous. He did, however, try to "educate" me on not using a cellphone while driving, which didn't really apply as I hadn't been. As anyone who knows me knows, I don't use my phone much. Weeks go by where I don't even turn it on. In fact, my last call was made April 5th, so I wasn't exactly worried about getting a ticket. But it turned out not to matter, because my beloved best friend is a bit of a hothead and got VERY vocal in defending my honor. She started her birthday morning with a near arrest - only thing that saved her was my telling the cute, mean cop that it was her birthday - and we ended it by getting pedicures (my first!) We had a lot of laughs over the "incident" and I now have very cute yellow and purple flowers on my nails. A full day indeed.

Probably the funniest part of my cop run-in? The hero of my current WIP, Shane, is an ex-cop turned PI. I definitely looked at Shane in a whole new way as I sat down to write tonight.

So how was YOUR week? While I scramble to meet my deadlines and make it through the last day of the week at my day job, I'll leave my fellow Wicked ladies to serve in my stead. I'll look forward to catching up with all of you tonight...and I hope I wasn't the only one who had a zany week! Come on, tell me your best stories!

Tuesday went on my son's field trip and he hated it. He loved that momma was there but the actual activity, no.

Work has been insane this week and I'm hoping since its Friday, that it will calm down.

Oh and hubby and I both have had severe allergies this week, too! I would like to breath out of both nostrils and he would like not to cough....

I was highly PO'd at my spouse on Tuesday for letting our youngest's homework wait until nearly bed time. I came home, expecting to long onto the computer and have a nice long chat with friends, only to discover no; I had to help with homework.

Then got sick...spent yesterday in bed, which thoroughly confused said spouse, but am feeling much better today and am getting ready to bake my little heart out! Cookies and Brownies as promised for the baked goods sale at our BSA district pine wood derby. I can give into the symptoms once again Saturday night if I'm being premature in my 'wellness claim', ha ha!

You sound like me with the phone thing. I'll go for days without turning mine on. Don't know why it is really. Maybe it's that I'm home most of the time and simply don't need it.

Had a pretty busy week. Lots of snafus involving the delivery and installation of an exercise bike. Loooong story but it's installed and ready for use now. Did edits for Lawman and got a release date (May 4). Did some home improvement stuff...just little things but I'm feeling pretty accomplished right now! LOL. Let's see how long THAT lasts.

My week entailed flying home from LA & not be able to speak. No, really I have no voice I can't even squeak. Which my friends and family seem to love. Me, I miss talking on my cell phone, which is the only phone I have. There's been no writing, no plotting & no planning. I'm pretty sure my brain is rotting from inactivity.
Hope every one has a wonderful, relaxing weekend filled with great books and lots of chocolate.

Hi everyone! Sorry I got here late...work's been a bear this week but at least it's Friday!

Thanks, Amber, you too!

Ugh, Marika, I hear you on allergies. They drive me nuts too. And Molly, hope you continue to feel better!

Regina, yay about getting your exercise bike! It can be such a pain to wait for deliverymen.

Allie, sorry for your rough week. Hope your voice returns soon!

Mia, yeah, he was hot. Too bad he was also a jerk, LOL.

Here's hoping everyone has a great weekend!
