Those Sexy Alpha Males!

I've been steeped in Alphas all weekend long and loving it! LOL I've been reading the fabulous Lora Leigh. I'm so hooked on her Breeds I can't even seem to get any real work done. I have a few minutes and I pick up another of her books and start reading. It's a sickness, I'm sure of it. Anyone know the cure? Don't tell me, I don't want cured!

One thing I love about Leigh's Breeds is that you CAN read them out of order. I usually read a series in order, but I started somewhere in the middle and went to the end, now I've gone back to the beginning and I've been slowly trying to get caught up. I still have a few to go, but I swear, the minute I get caught up, I know what I'll do...cry! I'm going to want more. I'm going to want them NOW. See, I'm hooked!

These guys are dead sexy, mean, rough, hard, and they know how to please a lady. Their savage nature makes me drool, I swear! I start to feel jealous over the women in these stories, then I smack myself as I realize...they aren't real! But they seem so real! I've cried--Elizabeth's Wolf and also Dawn's Awakening, both tear-jerkers--and I've attacked t he hubby the instant he sets foot in the door. Wowzers! I love me some Lora Leigh!

Who here loves her books? What's your favorite of hers?

I used to think Loving Lies was my favorite, but I love the Nauti series too. I can't decide which of the Breeds is my favorite, maybe Soul Deep...hmm, it's a hard decision. Eventually I'll probably go back and read the whole series from the beginning. Do you do that? I've done that with the Carpathians too. The only time I re-read a book is if it's fantastic. Leigh is FANTASTIC!

Okay, here's some hot hunk pix to go along with today's post. What the hell, I just really felt like sharing some hot hunks. You don't mind, do ya? *wink, wink*

and my personal favorite... *g*

You know I love her books too. My favorites are her SEALS though. Those guys are HAWT. I need to try the Breeds. I've only read Elizabeth's Wolf which I liked and I tried Megan's Mark but couldn't get into it for some reason.

I'm into Alpha's though. Those men are so hot.

Anne - I'm hiding under my desk. I haven't read any of Lora Leigh's books yet. But I do have her Nauti Boys books in my TBR pile.

The Wizard Twins series were magical! The Special Ops Men make me drool! She is a talented, versitile, and I constantly keep up with her books. Tehya--I think the 'versatile' part is what makes my head spin. I've never known an author who could write so many different types of books and do it so well! What an amazing lady!

I try to remember when exactly I was first introduced to the Queen of Alphas and I must say that in my opinion she is the originator of the term Alpha men. I knew what they were before reading her, thanks to Virginia Henley but the term didn't really hit home until I started to read Lora Leigh. I think Tempting the Beast was my first Leigh book and it still is my favorite. Callon really knew how to 'get it done'.

Anne, I have been totally addicted to Lora's books since her first one came out in print. My favorite one was Marly's Choice followed by the next two in that "Men of August" series.

She is an absolute auto buy on all of her books.

I love the eye candy Anne.

Sheridan--OMG, I love Tempting The Beast!! So HOTT!

Sandie--I think the August series was the only series I wasn't crazy about. BUT that's okay! There are plenty of others of hers that I do love!

Oh my yes! Lora is one talented writer! I still remember reading Callan, and I was hooked on the breeds from page one. Kelley, try another one besides Megan's Mark... maybe Tanner's Scheme or Soul Deep. And Sheridan, YES, Callan was my first and will always be number one to me. *shiver* All her series are good, she's amazingly versatile. But her breeds will always be my favorite.

Janine--*starts chanting Tanner's Scheme, Tanner's Scheme* Now THAT is a great story!! Kelley, you need to read that one!

Anne, I love, love, love Lora Leigh. I haven't gotten to the Breeds yet but I have read almost everything else. It is so hard for me to choose a favorite but I think as of right now, it's Wildcard. That story was so emotional and I cried over and over. Can't wait for more Bound Hearts, Nauti's, and Elite Ops in the coming year. Hope to see Jazz's story soon too.

Anny Cook said...

Actually, I liked Mercury's story the best, but she has two or three breed stories in anthologies that are PRETTY good too!

Anne Rainey said...

Barb--You're right, Wild Card is VERY emotional! I'm just dying for Jazz's story. I wish I knew when she planned to write that one. It's killing me!

Anny--Mercury is sort of a tortured hero, isn't he? I really fell in love with him. Also, the ending to that book with Jonas...oh wow, I really want his book now too! He tugged at my heart, he really did.

I'm embarrassed to say I haven't read her yet but she's definitely on my LIST. Lots of recommendations here. lol

Okay. It's nearly misnight and I'm just catching up after a VERY long day, but I love ehr Temtping Seals series. I must have read each book four or five times. I especially love Kell, whose cell phone plays Hells Bells by AC/DC. Is that too cool or what? Each and every one of those very Temtping Seals is the alpha of alphas. I'm just now working my way thrugh the Breeds.

Hi Anne! Yum!!! I went to this site that has actors and models that are 'wet' like beach and water and the like scenes, and once I went there, I lost track of time!

You know, this is one series I read out of order! Its hard to pick a favorite too! I remember when I first found out about them, after a print was out awhile, PRIMAL HEAT and I read WOLF'S HOPE and gosh, its absolutely breath taking! I do need to get MERCURY and the recent couple of anthologies with more breeds!

I haven't read her Breeds yet. Well I take that back; I just read her story in The Magical Christmas Cat and it was a Breeds story. So now my curiosity has been piqued. I actually have 3 of her Breeds books here somewhere. So I may have to dig them out.

I love her Nauti series and actually liked her Men of August books. I really liked Loving Lies and can't wait for her to write the other 2 follow up books.

I started on her Tempting SEALS books after reading Wild Card. She can sure write an Alpha, that's for sure.

Anne Rainey said...

Desiree--YES! Kell! He's so hot. Oh lordy, I'm seeing a re-read for real.

Caffeyt--Do you mean this site: http://wetmen.provocateuse.com/
I looooove that site. ;-) and Wolf's Hope (Primal Heat antho.), that's one I don't have yet. I'm about to order it though.

Jen--She really knows how to write an Alpha, huh? I think she has the right mix of tenderness and savagery! :)

Hey Anne,

The Tempting SEALS are my all-time favorite. I'm missing Reno's story but other than his, I've read them all!

Hugs,

I love the Breeds. I think my current fave is Tanner's Scheme but hell, I have loved them all. I just read the excerpt for the one coming in Feb. Shouldn't have done that because now I don't want to wait. *cries*

Eliza--I'm the most impatient person ever, I can't read Lora's excerpts, it just makes me crazy for the release! About Tanner's Scheme: Aren't you anxious for Cabal's story...?! He needs his happy ending!
