Not Well

Sorry folks, I'm breaking all kinds of friend laws to even post this, since I promised I'd stay off the computer. I couldn't leave you hanging.

Yesterday I went to the doctor. While they were going about their usual thing, weight, temp, blood pressure, they discovered something scary. Now, I'm a young woman but apparently stress has done a number on me and what they found scared them enough to keep me at the doctor for two and a half hours and a handful of meds.

This morning at five am., I was on the phone to 911. The hospital kept me for over six hours running tests because my stress/anxiety symptoms and ridiculous blood pressure (218/148 175/110 and all over the place) worried them into thinking I was having a heart attack. I didn't and my heart is perfectly fine. But folks, stress will kill you and I had a wake up call today that was completely sobering. I'm young. I have two little girls. This kind of thing is supposed to happen to the elderly or the middle-elderly, not to me. Not at my age.

If you have any concerns about your health, please take care of you. And thank you for your patience as I recover. I'll be back next week. Count on it.

Thank you, Elece. I certainly will. I can't imagine being without them, nor having them without me. I refuse to allow it to happen. :)

Take care of yourself and rest. I just had my own scare so I totally understand, and stress is the big culprit here too, plus whatever is still happening. You're young, take care of yourself and do what they tell you. Prayers have been said for you, Mia.

Mary, Allie, thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. I'm currently catching up on The Tudors, LOL. Does that qualify as destressing? Not sure considering the massive drama and death. Hm. Might be time for plan B.

Oh, Mia! *hugs* I am so very sorry you are dealing with something like this! I understand where your coming from. I have 4 daughters, and we just found out that my oldest, 22, is pregnant. I am working on my own health, so I can be around longer.

Hugs and keep us posted.

I'm so glad you're okay, Mia. Stress is indeed something that is a secret killer. It affects every part of our lives.

I've had my wake up call and then some. I'm moving soon. And hopefully this move is going to give me a little of what I want out of life and help with the stress.

Take care of yourself, sweetie.

OMG! Keeping stress out of your life is easier said than done but you just got a big wake up call. Hope you are feeling better today and that you take it easy this weekend. Your family needs you to stick around for a long time. Take care of yourself please.

Close your eyes....breathe in and out....now take left hand and put it on your right shoulder....put right hand on left shoulder....breathe....squeeze...keepbreathing....repeat as often as necessary. And remember your friends are here for you, even when they miss blog posts for a day or two!

You're in our thoughts and prayers sweetie!

@Dragon Lady, thank you! I went back to the doc yesterday for a change of meds. Apparently mine were creating chest pains and headaches. :) I'm feeling great today.

Marie Rose, I'm doing a lot of resting. :) However, as one friend pointed out, there comes a time when not working becomes more stressful than working. I'm back to work. Carefully.

Amber, I love ya hon. You're always looking out for other people. I'll be fine. I'm not about to leave this mortal process early. LOL.

Hi, Tess! Moving can give you a clean slate, which it did for me. It can also create a lot of stress. Please don't do what I did. Take your time moving in and getting settled. It doesn't all have to be done, RIGHT NOW. That was my mistake.

Eileen, my biggest fear in the hospital was, I'd never see my girls again. They're with their dad for the summer (he's a neglectful asshat) and I thought about them living their life in such turmoil without me and never getting a chance to say goodbye. I won't go that way. I refuse. God will have to wait.

Hi Molly. Did you know deep breathing leads to yawning? LOL. I deep breathed my way to the grocery store. I was a yawning fool.

@Harlie, They do need me. :) I need them pretty badly too. I promise to take care of myself. My bosses are helping by reducing my workload and sending me de-stressors in the mail. I love my job.
