I've signed with Ellora's Cave!

I've already announced this on my Facebook page, but what the heck! I'm excited, okay?!

I'm thrilled to announce that I've signed with Ellora's Cave. A quickie called Ride of Her Life. With any luck at all this will just be the first of many EC books!

RIDE OF HER LIFE
blurb

Straddling this hard-bodied motorcycle hottie is definitely at the top of Lily Justice’s to-do list!

Freelance photographer Lily Justice has admired the younger, hunky owner of Wolff’s Body Shop from the safety of her living room window. She’s watched him riding his motorcycle and fantasized about all that delicious muscle and shiny metal. But it isn’t until she ends up needing his capable hands to fix her fender that she gets an up close look at the scrumptious man. After years of marriage to a man who viewed her as nothing more than a nuisance, Lily isn’t too keen on relationships with the opposite sex. Especially when they’re ten years younger. Keeping her hands to herself though? Yeah, so not an option!

Kyle Wolff has more than body work in mind when he sets his sights on the delicate little Lily. He’s ached for the petite brunette for years. Now that she’s a free woman, he’s ready to make his move. With soft touches, gentle kisses and an entire night with nothing to do but play, he’ll do exactly that. The deeper connection the instant he witnesses her pleasure—at his hands—comes as a welcome surprise. But Lily’s fear of love is holding her back. Kyle can be very determined when he sees something he wants though…and he wants Lily.

So, um, what do you think? *grin*

And my inspiration for Kyle...

Also, watch my website over the next few days because I'll be uploading chapter one!

signed a new contract!

I've already shouted about this on Facebook, but I'm too excited not to say something about it here too.

I've signed a new contract with Samhain Publishing! Yay! This one is a short story. Erotic, of course. LOL (to be released Aug. '10)

Here's a blurb:

What She Wants

Summer just got a whole lot hotter…

Summer Chase has already loved and lost once and she has no intention of going through that pain again. But when a hunky Camaro driving P.I. shows up at her B & B looking for a room for the week, she sees something more than a hard-bodied guest. For the first time since her husband’s death, Summer’s sexual interest is awakening, and she’s not about to hit the snooze button!

Gage Knight is a P. I. in desperate need of a vacation. His impromptu trip to Cape May, New Jersey seems just what he needs to relax and unwind. But when he knocks on the door of Chase’s Bed & Breakfast and comes face to face with sexy owner, Summer Chase, relaxing drops to the bottom of his to-do list. Now all he wants is a tasty Summer treat, and he plans to take his time, savoring the curvaceous beauty one inch at a time.

Question is…can she watch Gage drive off into the sunset when the week comes to an end?

5 The things I love about this story:

  • The story takes place in Cape May, New Jersey. I used to visit there when I was a kid so it's special for me. I love the shore!

  • Gage, the hero, has a big dragon tattoo on his upper back. He's the first of my male characters to have a tattoo. It's very sexy!

  • Gage is also the first of my characters to be bald. Gage does bald VERY well. lol

  • Summer's drive to make her bed & breakfast a success. I admire women who push past the pain of life, determined to find happiness.

  • The sex scenes...LOL I haven't had a hot tub scene in any of my books since Haley's Cabin. I felt it was time to do another one! *wicked grin*

You can see my inspiration for Gage here
Excerpt coming soon!

Also, I wanted to share an update on that 15 year old girl who was gang raped. They've arrested a 7th suspect. A 21 year old. And I read where the girl who had called 911 spoke for the first time. You can read her statement here

And the victim spoke for the first time as well. Her pastor shares her statements with the press. A few of the things she wanted the public to know are:

"Violence is always the wrong choice... We realize people are angry about this," the statement said. "But let the anger cause change; change that is necessary to keep our children, our neighbors and our friends safe. We thank everyone for their love, support and ongoing prayers." more here

What a smart, strong young lady! She has my admiration AND my prayers!!

Doing it TOGETHER!

Most of the time, I write single title stories and I have a new series, too, but sometimes it's fun to shake things up a bit. Last year, I did the Mistletoe Magic series with Desiree Holt and Cindy Spencer Pape, two very close author friends.

We came up with a holiday premise about three Texas sisters and before we knew it, we each had written stories that really flowed together and then we wrapped it up with a jointly-written quickie to end things.Turns out it was a LOT of fun. We brainstormed together, discussed covers together and often promoted together. At first I was a little hesitant to try something new but as it turns out, it was just the thing I needed to jump start other singular projects.Since then, the three of us have decided it was so much fun we want to do it again and, yeah, I'm excited about it.

Most recently I've done a very fun project with some other mighty fine authors and Resplendence Publishing. The Carnal Reunions Anthology tells the story of a group of young women who lived together in college. They were great friends and ten years later, when their college reunion rolls around they don't hesitate to re-connect with each other AND the men they'd left behind. This collection of short stories will release November 10 at Resplendence and includes Anny Cook, Cindy Spencer Pape, Taylor Tryst, Tessie Bradford, Paris Brandon, Fran Lee and myself. Let me tell you, it's challenging to work together to make things RIGHT and get the details down pat but it's also fun and a nice little break from all the solitary stuff we do from day to day. Yesterday our covers came in. They're all the same except for title, author and color scheme. Mine is displayed here. So, I guess, the moral of the story is...don't hesitate to try new things. Sometimes it's just what you need to shake things up. You meet and work with other authors and make new friends, too. A win win situation!

Birth of the Hellbitch

Know how Clark Kent was this mild mannered reporter...glasses and his tie tied nice and tight? And then he'd hear the call of someone in distress and jump into the nearest phone booth and go all super-powery on everyone? I'd like to say that I've been like HIM lately but actually, I've been more like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Good guy/bad guy...er...in my case Good GIRL/Bad Girl.

Normally, I'm the most even keeled person around. Usually cheerful with a positive attitude. Don't know if it's the hot Texas heat or rampaging mood swings from being 'a woman of a certain age'. Probably a little of both. On Monday, I began the week in writing mode. The pages were flowing and the plot was nicely unfolding and then Tuesday hit. I was weepy, depressed, downright sad. Everything that was said hit me wrong and well, I just wanted to be left ALONE.

Well, THAT short-lived episode finally passed and I thought..whooo, I'm back to my old self.

Yesterday, HELLBITCH was born. Um...where did she come from? This was a woman who snapped at everyone, whined, complained, griped and basically wanted to tear the throat from anyone who looked at her. Was this woman in the mirror ME??? Oh Holy Shit! I've never been one who terrorized others with bad or sad moods so I kind of retreated to my little writer's cubby hole and stayed clear of everyone.

I must have needed just a wee bit of solitude because after about three hours of alone time, I felt just fine. Maybe we all need some of that just to decompress. Odd thing though, last night I was talking it out with friends and suddenly a story worked it's way into my head. Aha. Lightbulb moment. Was it the act of just calming down that sent this story bulleting in my direction? Or was is coming down from a rough period of wild mood swings? Who knows. I'm going to go with it.

In Other News: Just got the cover for Ringo's Ride, the third book is my High Plains Shifters series. This will release at Ellora's Cave soon. I'm still waiting on a release date. In the meantime, here's the cover and a little blurb.

Ringo’s Ride
Regina Carlysle

Book 3 in the High Plains Shifters series but may be read as a stand-alone story.

Rayne dreamed of the day Ringo would claim her as his mate changing her into the lycan she is meant to be. One touch from his hands burns her with a flame hot enough to scorch the Texas plains. But the moody lycan has made it clear he doesn’t want her. That’s just too damn bad! The sexy latino lycan belongs to her and she aims to claim him no matter what it takes.

Ringo hides the pain of his tortured past behind a menacing sneer. Learning that Rayne is meant to be his mate is unwelcome news. She deserves better than to be saddled with a man with his checkered past. It isn’t until she is taken from him that he knows she is the only woman who can heal his battered soul.

Another Malone is coming!

I just signed a new contract under my counterpart for the second book in the Malone Brothers series! This is a smokin' hot series about three sexy brothers who own a construction company in the small town of Last Chance. To celebrate book two, Bliss, I decided to give away a FREE copy of Satisfy Me to one commenter. Tomorrow, Anne will post the winner with her post. Easy as pie :) Here's a little about Satisfy Me.

Blurb:Tyson Malone is being stalked by a ghost. Between bouts of calling him Sugar Lips and Hot Cakes, the apparition makes it her goal to get Ty together with his sexy neighbor, Maggie Jacobson. Unfortunately, for her, Ty doesn’t do the relationship thing. He does sex with a no relationship clause. One look at Maggie is all it takes to know she’s a relationship kind of woman.Maggie is tired of living her life the way others dictate. When her mom leaves her a journal left behind by a grandmother she never met, Maggie is inspired. This brave woman lived her life by her own set of rules and Maggie is ready to do the same. After moving to a new town, she meets Ty, a man who inspires her in a whole new, very sexual way. Taking control for the first time in her life, Maggie propositions him with a no strings affair. Soon they begin a journey to sexual satisfaction and bringing her fantasies to life.
KINKS: outdoor sex, masturbation/voyeurism, food play, light bondage, dirty talk
A pushy ghost and a gorgeous redhead--a man doesn’t stand a chance!
Excerpt:
A knock at the door jarred her from her thoughts. “Come in,” Maggie called out while she finished slipping into a pair of tennis shoes. No one else would be at her house at six AM but Tyson. A click sounded followed by a creak. “Hey, you.”
His brow creased. “Why didn’t you make sure it was me before yelling to come in? Better yet, why isn’t the door locked?”
“Pfft. This is Last Chance. Half the people in this town probably leave their doors unlocked.”“Just because they’re stupid doesn’t mean you should be. You’re a woman living alone. Lock your doors.”
His order should have angered her but for some reason it made her heart do a funny little flutter instead. He worried about her and dumb as it was, that made her feel good. Maggie stood up. “I usually do leave it locked. I knew you’d be coming over so I unlocked it a few minutes ago.”
“Next time wait until I get here. Anyone could have been at the door.”Maggie shook her head. Men! Always had to be macho. “What are we doing?” She knew he planned to take her camping but other than that he hadn’t given her many clues about their day. After she’d told him some of her fantasies he told her to be ready this morning for a trip. Somehow sex would be tied in. She just wasn’t sure how.
“The river.” He didn’t elaborate any further. His voice turned husky as his chocolate eyes raked her up and down. Goosebumps pebbled on her skin following the trail of his gaze. “I tasted you all night, Maggie. The scent of your arousal clung to my body damn near giving me a wet dream when I thought about what it felt like inside your slippery walls.”
Wetness seeped from the folds of her sex soaking her panties. Tyson wrapped his arms around her, surrounding her in his warmth.“Did you think of me when you were all tucked into bed, baby?”
Had she ever. “Yes.” His hands squeezed the round globes of her ass. “Oh!”
“Did you do more than just think about me?”
How did he know? Come on, Mags. Tell him. Don’t get cold feet now. “Yes.”
“What did you do?”
“First I--”
“No, Maggie, show me. Don’t tell me.”
Her pulse pounded. Her core throbbed with the need to come. For Ty. To show him she could be wild, untamed, purely sexual. Maggie kicked her shoes from her feet and dropped her shorts and panties. Her limbs trembled in a mix of anticipation and fear.
“Look at that pretty pussy. Did you touch yourself, Maggie? Did you sink your fingers into your cunt?”
“I pretended it was you. I wanted it to be you.”
“It will be me but not right now. I want to see you push your delicate fingers into your hungry little kitty cat. Can you do that for me, baby?”
She never would have thought she could do something like this but looking at Tyson she knew she could.
