feel good movies

This weekend we were super busy. We hosted my niece's 21st birthday party. It was a blast! Lot's of food, drinks and fun. Sunday I spent part of the day cleaning up the mess, then I sat and watched "Baby Mama". Okay, show of hands! How else loves those feel good movies?! Is it just me? Sometimes you just need a silly, fun, somewhat romantic movie to make you forget your stress, right?

My daughters and I laughed out loud. "Can I just spray a little PAM down there right before the baby comes out?"--Angie ROTFLMAO!!! That line had me in tears! Or this one: "With a little luck I could be pregnant right now. . . I said too much for a first date, didn't I?" --Kate

If you haven't seen it yet, you definitely need to rent it!

Now, since I'm in the mood to laugh, what other movies should I rent? Gimme some titles! My life is nothing but stress, stress, stress. I need laughter dammit! LOL

I love those kinds of movies. In fact that are about the only ones I watch.

I'll have to look for this one.

Oh, and I heard this morning that Amy Poehler and her husband Will Arnett had a baby boy over the weekend.

For romantic comedy, feel-good movies, nothing beats a Drew Barrymore movie! I LOVED Music and Lyrics, and the music's great too. 50 First Dates, Never Been Kissed, and Fever Pitch - the best ending EVER! If you haven't seen those movies, I highly recommend them.

27 Dresses was a really cute romantic comedy. I liked 50 First Dates too. Hmm, I know there are more but I can't think of any at the moment. I'll come back if I do.

Ahh, what great news, Laura!

Mia--I loved both of those Drew movies. She's terrific! Fever Pitch I've not seen. I'll have to look for it.

"Practical Magic", "50 First Dates", "To Make an American Quilt", "The Notebook", "Second Hand Lions", "The Princess Bride", "Ladyhawke", "Baby Boom", "Baby Mama" and "Pretty Woman".

I was also a huge fan of "Charmed" while it was on.

Now you know why I write what I write. I'm a happily married guy, that enjoys a good "chick flick", more often than not.

Dr. Karl--I'm a huge huge fan of Practical Magic and Charmed both! My daughters and I have watched every episode of Charmed at least 10 times! LOL

Too funny, I watched Baby Mama Sunday afternoon too. You must have sent some vibes on down my way. ; -) I love any Sandra Bullock movie. My all time favorite of hers would probably be While You Were Sleeping.

I love Amy and Tina. They are hysterical and I've GOT to see this movie. I've just been dying over both these women lately on Saturday Night Live.

While You Were Sleeping (Sandra Bullock, Bill Pullman)

You've Got Mail (Meg Ryan, Tom Hanks)

Sabrina (Julia Ormond, Harrison Ford)

Kate & Leopold (Meg Ryan, Hugh Jackman)

What Women Want (Helen Hunt, Mel Gibson)

Not all of thes movies are back to back laughs, but they have many clever, LOL moments - and HEA's.

The "Bridget Jones" movies I've watched, but not the other two. I esp. like the sound of that last one, I love Cate Blanchett!

Anne - The other two were adapted from plays written by Oscar Wild in the late nineteenth century. I'm sure there are many versions, but these two are my favorites.

Hey Jen - Great minds . . . !
