Rock the vote

Today I'm casting my very first ballot. I'm twenty eight and should have voted before now but like I said before, it wasn't something I grew up hearing about or talking about with my mom so when I turned eighteen I just never bothered. At twenty four I planned to but didn't. This year nothing would stop me. What right did I have to complain in the past when I didn't take the time to do anything about it? I feel lucky that I live in a country where I can vote, where I can have a say who and what happens in the country I live in. I'm finally taking that opportunity. With the help of Regina, hundreds of emails, and Internet searches I feel I've come to a educate decision. I know what I plan to mark on that ballot and I feel good about my decision. I feel grown up in a way I didn't. I feel AMERICAN. So, no matter who you vote for, get out there and cast your ballots today.

Be sure you stop by tomorrow. Regina has a brand new release coming out and she's having a contest to celebrate. You don't want to miss it.

This is such an exciting day! We have early voting in Texas and I cast my vote last week and I have to say there's a feeling you get when you vote. You are suddenly a part of something bigger than yourself.

I'm very proud of you. And you're absolutely right. You don't vote, you don't get to complain.
