what's your remedy?

So, I've had a cold for about a week. It's just hanging on and driving me crazy! I've done the vitamin C thing, airborne, rest, yada yada. Still, I'm sniffling and basically just annoyed that it won't go away already!

What's your remedy? Do you have a special combination that helps you get over these things? Do you do something specific to keep from getting colds and flus?

Also, I wanted to share a picture of our new puppy. She's only about a week and a half old, so she's still with her mommy. We have another 5 weeks before we can bring her home. But, isn't she adorable?! We already got her some toys, her very own bowl and also a red puppy collar, complete with sparkling rhinestones. Yes, she has her very own bling. LOL We're not going to spoil her, clearly. hehe

...and before I forget. This Thursday at 9pm EST, Kelley, Regina and I will be on Blog Talk Radio chatting with Phoebe Jordan. You don't want to miss it! Who knows what sort of wicked things we'll say! LOL

First, the puppy is so cute - I'm envious - I married a cat man so all three of my babies are feline.

Second, about your cold. Nigel and I have spent a lot of time in China and they taught me a remedy that has worked every time we used it. Take some ground or fresh ginger - either works, put it in some coke (not pepsi, it has to be coke for some reason) and heat it wither on the stove or microwave. Drink it as warm as you can stand it and it relieves cold symptoms, and shortens the time span for your cold to about 4 days instead of 10. It doesn't make you drowsy, and it opens up your head if you're stopped up.

Hope this helps,

Missy Martine

Anne, she's adorable! We don't have any dogs but my daughter has her new kitten and my two cats look at him like he's nuts with how playful he is!

I get stomach bugs but rarely a cold. I never know when its coming until it arrives full blast to me. So nothing has ever worked to prevent any stomach bugs. I've been lucky about the colds tho. I hope its over quickly for you! Sending gentle hugs!
PS I won't be at the blog talk radio chat since I can't hear, but always wondered what you chatted about, now you got me wondering more, smile

She's a boxer. Her name is nutmeg. We have another boxer female named Cinnamon, so it made sense to call this one by a similar name. This makes them the ‘spice girls’. LOL

Thanks for the cold remedy! I never heard of that one. I'll have to give it a try!

Caffey--Sorry you can't be at the BTR event. Maybe someday we'll get a chance to meet in person though! :)

OMG she is so cute. At least with her being so little you have some time to recover from your cold lol.
