Guest Author: Tory Richards

Today we have Tory Richards joining us. She's sharing a delicious recipe and a couple of seriously yummy books! A romantic suspense and an erotic romance, both of which just happen to be my favorite genres!
_______________________________

I’m so pleased to be here today! I discovered this fantastic website quite by accident and kind of, ah, invited myself over.

The cold weather we’ve been getting here in Florida lately made me think of a chowder I created many years ago. For some reason I only make It during the winter months, and a requirement is cold weather. There are some meals you just can’t enjoy as much if you don’t make them while taking the weather into account. Don’t you agree?

The chowder is creamy, hearty and perfect for that chilly night, whether you live here or somewhere up north where it gets really cold. I thought I’d share it with you. And if you make it I’d love to hear back from you. You really can’t mess this up.

Pork Chop Chowder-
(Works best cooked in a crock pot)
4 boneless pork cutlets – cut up in squares
1 large onion – peeled and chopped up
4 celery stalks with the leafy part – chopped up (wash them first)
5 medium potatoes – peeled and cut into squares (see above)
2 cans cream of corn
1 can sweet corn - drained
2 cups milk (may need more or less)
Salt and pepper – to taste
¼ cup Butter
1 tsp. Paprika

Directions-
Sauté pork, onion and celery in a pan
Dump into a crock pot when done
Add potatoes, both cans cream corn, corn, milk, butter and paprika

Cook on low for a couple hours, stirring once in awhile. May add more milk if needed. Goes good with cornbread or biscuits.

Yum! I think I’ll go make some now. That will give me the excuse to wrap up in a blanket on the couch in front of the fire, enjoy a hot bowl while nose deep in some sexy romance. And speaking of romance, I happen to be a writer, with several novels to my name. My most recent releases were in October of this year. All the Right Moves with The Wild Rose Press, and Breathless Surrender with Ellora’s Cave. That one is a Quickie. So you see, you have a choice. If you want suspense romance, then you might be interested in checking out All the Right Moves, and you can get that one in ebook or print. If you want erotic romance, well, you guessed it. Breathless Surrender! Below are brief blurbs.

All the Right Moves –
Annie McCall finds a patient dead in her office, and now she's on the run for her life.

Detective Marshall Thomas is willing to break the rules to protect the beautiful doctor, but who will protect her from him? It isn't long before the only danger Annie's facing is the sizzling heat between the sheets.

Breathless Surrender –
Months of running into her sexy new neighbor takes a toll on Alexis' libido. There's interest in his smoky gaze every time they meet, but he seems reluctant to ask her out. And other than a slight nod, and a polite hello, that's all they share. About to take matters into her own hands, she finds herself thrown into a situation that could end her life.

With nothing but erotic fantasies of Alexis to warm his bed at night, Reid knows he has to stay away from her until his undercover assignment is over. But when a coldblooded initiation to prove he's trustworthy forces him to involve her, there's nothing to keep him from claiming her.

I guess I’ll be on my way now. Thank you for letting me visit here today, it’s been fun. I wish you all a happy holiday season!

The Worst Christmas

I spent the worst Christmas Day of my life nine years ago. I had split from my ex-husband a couple of months prior, and we’d decided to have our children alternate Christmas Days. He chose to have them on CD first. It was quiet—horribly so. No kids on CD when you’re used to having them there? Evil. They were 3, 6, 9 and 10, so you can imagine the loss of such excited children.
I spent all day moping, crying every so often, and pretending everything was all right on the outside. But inside I felt hollow, like four pieces of me were missing. I told myself that it would be all right, that I would have my CD the next day and pretend it really was CD. The children were supposed to be dropped off between 8 and 9 a.m. They were brought home around noon.
I will never forget that selfish act and also that I could have been awkward and told him I was having them that first Christmas. You know, dug my heels in and said I was their mother, blah blah blah. But I didn’t make a fuss, just let him have them, and that’s how I was repaid.
Similar things have occurred each Christmas. They were late being picked up on CD once, and sat waiting for him, not opening our presents because they were to be opened the next day. But we let them have one each in the end, because shoot, those kids knew everyone else on the planet was ripping open gifts and having fun. And there they sat in their coats, their overnight bags by their feet, waiting and waiting.
As the years have gone by, the rules have changed due to ex having another child who was born on CD. To save our children traipsing about from house to house as they celebrated his daughter’s birthday and not Christmas, they remain at home and go to him on the following day. It’s where they’ve said they want to be, and despite the differences between us, myself and my ex have always said what the kids want comes first. So they choose many times now to stay at home when it’s their weekend to go to him, and so long as that’s what they want, then we’re all happy.
But that first time without them… I’ll never forget how I felt inside. I often wonder how it affected them too. Christmas is forever tainted for me now. I dislike it so much I wish I could just crawl into a ball and wait for it to go away. Oh, I pretend I'm digging it, but inside I'm not. I feel the Christmas spirit has been ripped away, tainted, and despite telling myself it's okay now, that they spend CD with us, and that I should be happy about that, the feeling is in my subconscious, spoiling every year.
Please share your Christmas memories with me. Happy, sad, it doesn’t matter. And if you comment, you can win any of my books in any of my pen names.
Also, don't forget to pop back later to check the Winners Announcement post for last week's prize winners!

Steamy Christmas Stories?

Have you read a steamy Christmas story? Personally I love them and now that I have this new Nook Color I've been hunting them out left and right. Of course since that theme is a fave, I had to write my own, lol.

If you read "What She Wants" then you'll remember Summer's blonde friend, Tory. The truth is, when I thought up Summer's story I had no intention of making it the start of a series. Then Tory popped onto the page. She kept nudging me and nudging me. Now, Tory doesn't just have one story, but two. "What She Needs", which comes out Feb. 2011, is more of Tory, Con and Devon. These three just wiggled their way into my heart and I couldn't stop thinking about them.:)

Unwrapping these gifts could get a girl in a world of trouble.

Cape May, Book 2

Tory Jeffries likes things simple. A modest home, a web design business, easygoing men. Except there’s never one around when she needs one—and she needs a date for the event of the year, her friend Con Walker’s annual Christmas party. Not that she couldn’t go alone, but spending the evening as a third wheel doesn’t appeal.

When her old friend Devon Mason turns up dateless as well, she anticipates a fun evening with her flirty, bad-boy buddy. Then Devon and Con offer her a Christmas treat that her inner slut begs her not to refuse. A night with both delicious, muscular men. In Con’s bed. Naked.

After growing up together with an up-close-and-personal view of life’s ugly side, it doesn’t surprise Devon and Con that they’ve fallen for the same woman. They’ve watched her date men who aren’t nearly good enough for her, and now it’s time to show the fiery blonde just how perfectly she fits in their sinful fantasy sandwich. When they take their first long, slow taste, something extraordinary happens. They fall in love.

Now all they have to do is convince their suddenly skittish princess that fairy tales can come true…

Warning: This book contains one sassy heroine getting two tasty alpha heroes for Christmas. Expect some crazy hot m/f/m sex and a Christmas Eve party that’ll blow your stockings clean off.

Devon stood on her front step, one broad shoulder braced against the doorframe, wearing a crisp white cotton shirt with the sleeves rolled up, and a pair of black slacks that showed off his long, powerful legs. She’d never seen him looking quite so magnificent. He’d even tried to comb the wild mane of his hair into some semblance of style. She could have told him he shouldn’t have bothered. Tory had always liked Devon’s messy brown hair.

“You look great,” Tory complimented, hoping her voice didn’t sound quite as throaty as she suspected.

His grin, laced with just a shade of masculine need, melted her insides as he stared down at her. “And you look sexy as hell, sugar.”

Tory’s hands shook with nerves. Another first. Devon never made her nervous. They’d been friends too long for that. Three years of knowing a person, seeing them at their best as well as their worst, tended to bridge the gap. Admittedly, Devon wasn’t acting himself of late. For instance, the way he looked at her now, as if he wanted to run his tongue over her, slowly, for hours. Yeah, that was a new one.

“Thanks. I spent a bloody fortune, so it better look fabulous.”

“You’re a total babe. I’m going to have to fend the guys off.”

Tory narrowed her eyes. “Why would you even bother?”

Devon stepped through the front door. His hand lifted to her cheek, and the warm strength of him obliterated her nerves in an instant. “Because you’re with me,” he growled.

“This isn’t a date,” Tory reminded him—and herself. If only she could stop thinking of it in that light, it’d give her words more credibility.

“I’m a man. You’re a woman. We’re going to a party together. How is that not a date?”

“We’re friends. This is no different than if I were going on a bike ride with Summer.”

“So, Summer thinks you look sexy, then? Summer can’t take her gaze off the way that satin hugs your curves?”

“Devon.” His name and nothing more. It was all Tory could manage in that moment.

He stroked a finger down her chin, then removed his hand altogether. She shivered clear to her toes. “Come on, sugar. Let’s party.”

She smiled, feeling her confidence level rise a notch. She was going out with one of her best friends and she was going to have a good time. Simple as that.

Fifteen minutes later, when Tory entered Con’s mansion—and that was the only way to describe a house the size of Con’s—she took in the beautiful decorations. One of the tallest trees she’d ever seen filled one corner of the great room. Mistletoe hung in various spots around the spacious room. The winding staircase leading to the second floor was decorated with large red bows and evergreen wreaths. The festive atmosphere warmed her heart. Con had grown up being bounced from one foster home to another. Poor and alone, with the exception of Devon, Con had built quite a life for himself with a lot of hard work and a good sense of business. Christmas music and more than a hundred guests filled the place to bursting and made her feel less skittish. Big crowds of strangers she could handle. It was the man at her side who had her wondering.

Tory quickly scanned the crowd, but didn’t see Con anywhere. “Where’s the man of the hour?”

Devon placed his hand at the small of her back and led her across the room. “Probably in the kitchen. You know how he is about the food. Everything has to be perfect or he has a conniption.”

She envisioned Con hovering over some poor unsuspecting chef and groaned. “We’d better find him before we have a repeat of last year’s Christmas party.”

Devon snorted. “Con deserved to have cheesecake dumped over his head. He was being an ass.”

She clutched her purse tighter as they neared the double doors leading into the kitchen. “But it was a waste of a perfectly good cheesecake, and that’s just wrong no matter how you look at it.”

“I’d forgotten how much you loved that stuff.” He chuckled. “Con felt terrible because you looked so sad over the loss.”

Pushing the door inward, she groused, “I wasn’t sad. No one gets sad over cheesecake.”

Devon snorted. “You looked like a little lost puppy.”

She started to protest that ridiculous statement, but the sight that greeted her inside the huge room with its stainless steel counters and cabinets took her breath. Not one, but three cheesecakes sat on the counter mere feet away. One was topped with strawberries, another with cherries, and the third was drizzled with chocolate sauce. Drooling would be extremely unladylike, Tory remaindered herself. She spied Con next to the stove, hovering near a steaming pot of…something. He turned, and their gazes clashed. The slow grin that spread across his face had her heart beating faster. Con should never be allowed to smile. It was like watching the sun rise over Cadillac Mountain in Maine. It made you want to stop and stare for a good ten minutes.

Unable to budge even an inch, Tory watched as Con crossed the room then gently pulled her into his arms. He kissed her lightly on the forehead. Inching backward, he looked her over. “You look gorgeous, baby.”

Taking advantage, Tory let her gaze wander. Con’s close-cropped midnight black hair, navy blue slacks and the white dress shirt straining to contain his thickly muscled torso sent a little shiver down her body. Con was a big man. Powerful. A little intimidating until you got to know him. His silver eyes and the hard planes of his face told of a rough life. Oh, Con might be rolling in money now, but Tory knew it hadn’t always been that way. In fact, growing up, he and Devon both had been forced to fight just to survive. She didn’t know all of it, but the little she did know always made her heart ache for the pair.

“Thanks,” she said. “You, uh, clean up pretty well yourself.”

“Gee, thanks.” He tweaked her nose. “If you’re going to be ornery, then you won’t get any of my cheesecake.”

She peeked around his shoulder and sighed. “There are three of them.”

Con stepped back and folded his arms over his chest. “And I made each one myself. So, be a good girl tonight.”

Devon stepped forward, a frown marring his handsome face. “Why three?”

“To make up for last year’s fiasco,” Con muttered. “Hell, Tory, you looked so sad when you saw that ruined dessert, I figured I owed you.”

Tory planted her hands on her hips and glared at the two men. “For the last time, I wasn’t sad. Upset, yes. That cheesecake looked delicious. But I was not sad, for crying out loud.”

“Were too,” Con and Devon both said at the same time.

It was futile to argue with the two of them. Especially when they chose to gang up on her. “Whatever,” she said, waving a hand in the air. “I need a drink.”

“Champagne?” Con ventured.

“White wine, Con,” Devon said. “Tory hates champagne.”

“Oh, right.” Con headed toward the long steel countertop where several crystal glasses sat. He picked up a bottle of white wine and held it up for her to inspect. “This just arrived, actually. I’ve been letting it breathe. It’s a new winery I’m thinking of investing in. You’ll be my taste-tester.”

“As long as I get to be your cheesecake taste-tester as well, I’ll be whatever you want.”

Con glanced over at Devon, and the pair exchanged a mysterious look. Neither spoke as Con poured the wine. He brought it to her. Tory sniffed the fragrant liquid. Spicy and sweet. Interesting. She took a sip. “Smooth, sweet, but not too sweet. Nice.”

“Good.”

The music changed, and suddenly Tory wanted to dance. “Which of you is going to dance with me? Don’t make me look for someone else, I don’t feel like doing the flirting thing tonight.”

“I thought I made it clear you’re my date,” Devon chastised. “No flirting unless it’s with me.”

“Or me,” Con said, his voice low, a little rough.

Tory looked at Devon, then Con. She couldn’t tell if they were teasing or not. She didn’t want to know, either. Instead she took another sip of her wine. Devon plucked the glass out of her hand and handed it to Con. “Come on, sugar. You can move those sexy hips all you want.”

As they went back out to the main room, Con following close behind, Tory’s mind whirled with the possibility that the two men were making a move on her. Could it be? Devon tended to flirt. It was just his way. Con, not so much. So, what was up with them tonight? Read Chapter One

Season of Giving

First I wanted to announce one more time that Valerie in Germany won my first contest. Please email me at writer madison scott (AT) yahoo (DOT) com

I want to talk about gifts today. Kids are making their lists for Santa. Husbands and wives are picking out that special something for one another. I am not a big shopper, but I LOVE Christmas shopping. I can't help but imagine the look on my girls faces when they open them. The thank you kiss from my husband or the tears from the grandparents (I'm known for sentimental grandparent gifts, lol).

We're having a struggle in the house this year because my oldest wants a puppy. Like BAD. My hubby and I just aren't on board with it right now. It's a big responsibility and we're not sure we're ready yet. It's a tough one. We don't want Santa to disappoint, but I'm just not sure the Scott family can handle another member right now.

I'm good at remembering gifts of the past. My most memorable Christmas gift I've been giving was from my husband. We'd only been together ONE month. We were only teenagers and he got me the cutest ring... a promise ring. Everyone thought we were crazy. "You've only been together a month!" "Teen relationships never work out!" But twelve years later, the promise ring has been replaced with a wedding ring, we're still going strong and I still have that promise ring. It's too small to wear, but it's tucked away in my jewelry box and I still pull it out from time to time to look at it.

What was the most memorable Christmas gift you've given or received?

I'll randomly draw one winner from today's commenters who will win their choice of one of my ebooks. Click HERE for a list of my books!

Watch Out Santa...Assembly Required

Yes, we're still Jingle Bell Rockin'....all this month. My prize this week is a signed copy of Lone Star Beasts (books one and two of my High Plains Shifters series) along with a deck of Ellora's Cave playing cards. Comment it up, folks, and one of you will win my prize to be announced on Friday by our own Natalie Dae!

My biggest holiday memories often come from the most STRESSFUL moments. I know you know what I'm talking about. Every year, when the kids were little, my honey and I would head out to do our Santa Shopping. We'd have our completed list of requests and hit Toys R Us hoping they'd have 'in stock' the most popular toys of the season. Without fail, every year there was at least one thing that was sold out, out of stock or SOMETHING. Now, let me say right off the bat that I'm married to a hard-headed man. God love him! He's one of those...I can DO IT...guys who relishes the idea of getting out the tool box and putting stuff together. Unfortunately for me, he likes company when he does it and if slot A doesn't fit properly into slot B and the directions happen to be in Chinese then I know for a fact this little 'assembly endeavor' is going to test my patience BIG TIME.

So what is wrong with paying Toys R Us a $20 fee for assembling that bike? Not a dang thing, I always say. They'll do it there, do it right and no nasty tempers are involved. I'm all about avoiding that. But Mr. Reg? No, I believe he thrives on controversy. Just my luck. We've been married for 28 years and I've long ago given up on convincing him to just 'hire the professionals'. He's not going to do it.

Our most interesting Christmas Eve assembly project happened many years ago when our son was just a little dude. I think maybe six or seven. He was MAD about Ghostbusters. The movie was huge and the stores were stocked with all sorts of Ghostbusters junk. From nerf Ghost Blasters to action figures to the Ghostbusters car. He wanted it all. So that's exactly what Santa got him. Every Christmas Eve we have a big bash at our house where family comes, we listen to Christmas music and we have a big spread set up in the dining room. The day had been consummed with getting everything ready, dealing with the little ones, etc. You know the drill. So by the time the kids are calmed down and in bed, it was well after 1 am. We were exhausted but had to do the Santa stuff.

We took care of the carrots (for the reindeer), the cookies and the milk, careful to leave crumbs and such so the kids would have evidence Santa had been there. Everything else was set out under the tree when we got to the assembly of the Ghostbusters Firehouse. Remember the movie? They operated from an old firehouse complete with the fireman's pole they'd slide down when they went after the ghosts. So we open the box, my husband confident this would be a snap. I wasn't nearly so optimistic when I found all the hundreds of little pieces and pages and pages of assembly instructions. At least they were in English! Surprisingly all went well until I reached into the bottom of the box. I'd pulled out a HUGE ROLL OF STICKERS. The entire firehouse had numbered stickers to use in decorating the thing. So we began with number one, found the spot and began applying the damn things. To give you an example of how tedious this job was, let me just say that sticker number 218 was a teeny tiny DOORKNOB. It took us hours of fitting the stickers to the right spot and at one point, I believe I remarked the elves' fingers were definitely needed to do this right. They have little hands, right? Two frustrating hours later we poured ourselves into bed.

By five am, our bright eyed babies were standing by our bed shouting that Santa had come and we had to get up RIGHT NOW and come see. We both groaned realizing we'd slept a total of two hours. It was gonna be a looooong day.

Care to share some of your "Santa Assembly" nightmares?

************************************************************************************************

My father was a tobacco farmer—until he made a career move, that is. lol But I was only five at the time this happened and can only relate how I came to be the proud owner of a puppy as I was too young to remember it all. I do, however, have flashes of the day my dad brought the puppy home to me, but it’s hard to tell if those memories are truly mine or if they were somehow manufactured through hearing the tale.

As I said, my dad was a tobacco farmer. He managed our own family farm as well as the farm of an absentee owner, and dad was gone long hours each day from well before sun up to well after sun down. He was driving out in the country to inspect some barns where the tobacco was being cured and noticed several vultures in the sky circling not far away. What made him investigate, I’ll never know, and for some reason now I’d really like to ask him—why I never did is beyond me. Most people don’t investigate whatever it is vultures are circling—know what I mean?

Anyway, he found a litter of puppies someone had just thrown out. I know, pretty bad. There were six of them from what I understand, and only one still living, but close to death. Daddy buried those other five puppies—“pretty deep”, he said—and brought THE ONE home to me.

He named the dog LUCKY.

For the next couple of years, Lucky was my constant companion. He was a smart dog, too. I had two cousins that lived not far away through the woods, and I could honestly tell that dog to go and get my cousins and sure enough---he’d head through the woods and sometime later would return with my cousins and their dog BUTCH. Lol Not joking. That dog understood every word I said.

I was eight years old,and it was just a couple of days before Christmas when my granddaddy passed away. He was a great big ole man, and I loved him dearly. I was looking at some old pics last night of me sitting next to him in his hospital bed (yep, he was kept at home when he got down sick) and me brushing his snowy white hair with my little doll brush—you know the kind, the bristles on those brushes are as soft as a feather.

Granddaddy was well known and his passing brought hoards of visitors to the farm house. It was usually very quiet, not a lot going on. But during that time, things were confusing—at least I thought so. And LUCKY must have, too.

He got hit by a car during all of the comings and goings.

I didn’t see this happen or see him afterward. They wouldn’t let me. And I no more understood LUCKY being gone than I did my granddaddy. I was seven at the time. Oh, I cried, but wasn’t quite sure why. I just knew Granny was very sad and granddaddy wasn’t there anymore. Now, neither was LUCKY.

Christmas Eve was very quiet. Granddaddy had been laid to rest the day before—just like my LUCKY. Daddy took me to see LUCKY’S grave and we had a nice little ceremony for him as well. My granny busied herself in the kitchen all day Christmas Eve. I remember Daddy telling her that she didn’t need to, but she shooed him away and kept right on working.

It was well past dark when someone knocked on the door that night. It was that nice couple that lived down the road. At the time they were in their twenties, I’m sure. Their names were Margaret and Donald. I was sitting in the floor cross-legged in front of the Christmas tree when they arrived, and I looked over my shoulder to see them.

They were grinning from ear-to-ear as they were welcomed inside the living room. I went back to looking at the Christmas tree lights. Earlier I’d had a crying bout over Lucky and wasn’t talking much to anyone. Then my grandmother told me I needed to get up and say hello properly to Margaret and Donald. Granny was a real stickler for the proper way to do things for sure. So I got up, made my curtsey and said hello.

As soon as I had, Donald brought his hand from behind his back, and in it was a tiny tiny tiny black puppy. It fit in the palm of his hand. It had little curls all over its body. And it was mine. I was so happy. And it cemented Margaret and Donald in my mind forever.

I named the dog LUCKY.

Years passed, and I had three more dogs named LUCKY. Each of the predecessors leaving this world for the next for one reason or another. And I loved all of those LUCKYS just as much as the first—but the first would always be—well, you know…

Years later when I allowed my girls to have their first puppy, I related the story of how I received my first dog. And it was then that something popped into my head and made that story come full circle. You see, Margaret and Donald still live not too far from me. Their son and my brother, who is much younger than me, were best friends. So our families have always been close.

But I realized the day that I was telling my girls all about Lucky that it was Margaret and Donald who’d accidentally hit LUCKY that night all those years ago with their car. Which is why they brought me a new puppy. They felt guilty. Shouldn’t have, of course, but they knew I was little and needed a puppy. It’s the kind of thing that people do for each other. And one of those bittersweet memories, of course.

No, I never mentioned I’d figured it out—and don’t you think it’s odd that it took me until I was—well, much older, lol, to do so(My age is a state secret, people. Homeland Security protects that secret too. lol)? I saw Margaret and Donald about a month ago on one of my trips into Wal-Greens. Hugged both of them, and we had a nice long conversation. They are on up in years now.

But I still see them as they were that Christmas Eve when I curtsied dutifully to them, and Donald held out that tiny little bundle of curls to me. Margaret had been wearing bright red lipstick. She had long blonde curls hanging down below her shoulders and a pair of barrettes holding her hair back at the temples. She was a tall woman, at least half a foot taller than Donald. His hair was blonde, too, and he was wearing a long-sleeved plaid shirt that night and a black overcoat. Their faces will forever be young and smiling to me.

Happy Holidays, everyone. Share a memory.

Ten Reasons Why You Might Like Fiery Tales!...by Lila DiPasqua

When I landed a contract with Penguin/Berkley to write fairy tale retellings with my own sexy twists I was over the moon! I took my love of fairy tales, historical romance and hot love stories, and blended them into steamy fairy tale retellings in AWAKENED BY A KISS and my brand new release, THE PRINCESS IN HIS BED—the first two books in my Fiery Tales series!

Now, I know what you’re thinking: I grew up reading fairy tales, Lila. Will I like your version of Fiery Tales?

Here are ten reasons why I think you just might:

1. There are three hot historical bad boys who will seduce the objects of their desires in each book. Repeatedly. *winks*

Adam de Vey, Marquis de Nattes (The Marquis’ New Clothes)

Joseph d’Alumbert, son of the Duc de Vernant (The Lovely Duckling)

Mathias de Tesson, Marquis de Montfort (The Princess and the Diamonds)

2. There are three smart heroines who will make these gorgeous men lose their hearts.

3. In The Marquis’ New Clothes, (from THE PRINCESS IN HIS BED) the hero does not walk down the street naked while people snicker.

4. When our hero, Adam de Vey is naked, he’s quite impressive to behold. There is nothing on his muscled body to snicker at.

5. If you’ve been in a fire and have scars on your body, (Emilie from The Lovely Ducking in THE PRINCESS IN HIS BED) spike the hero’s interest by boldly writing him letters asking him to explain sex and seduction.

6. Princess Gabrielle can’t sleep at night. There is something hard in her bed. No peas stuffed under this Princess’s mattress! There are stolen diamonds tucked under her mattress, and a handsome, carnally talented Marquis on it. She must gamble with the diamonds….but it will cost her her heart---and some delicious sleepless nights. *winks* (The Princess and the Diamonds from THE PRINCESS IN HIS BED)

7. Sleeping Beauty has the tables turned on him in Sleeping Beau when he is awakened by a luscious kiss. The intensity of his night of raw ecstasy rocks this rake! When he meets his mysterious seductress years later, he has a few questions for her….and some delicious sexual fantasies he intends to fulfill. (in AWAKENED BY A KISS)

8. Nicknamed “Le Loup” the wolf, Nicolas is indeed a wolf in sheep’s clothing as he secretly works for the Crown. (Little Red Writing from AWAKENED BY A KISS) He never expected that his suspect would turn out to be his sexual soul mate. And his heart’s one desire.

9. Elisabeth (Bewitching in Boots from AWAKENED BY A KISS) is the King’s favorite daughter and a woman used to getting what she wants. And she wants the Captain of the King’s private Guard, tall, dark and oh so handsome, Tristan. The problem is he hates her. She intends to rely on wit, seduction…oh and her lucky boots in order to have him! Oh, and maybe a silk scarf or two tied to the bedposts. *grins*

  1. These books are set in the very decadent, elegant and most wicked time when the genre of fairy tales was born! Dare to step into my Fiery Tales world? You just may be swept up…and scandalized. *smiles*

Inspired by “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” “The Ugly Duckling, and “The Princess and the Pea,” Lila DiPasqua spins three sexy tales that give new meaning to the term bedtime story…

The Marquis’ New Clothes: To save her cousin, Aimee de Miran must retrieve a jeweled ring from the most sinfully seductive man at court, the Marquis de Nattes. But to search his considerable wardrobe she’ll have to get very close to the notorious rake…and soon she finds herself very close to him indeed, with his clothes—and hers—utterly forgotten…

The Lovely Duckling: Reputed for his carnal skills, Joseph d’Alumbert prefers amorous encounters without emotional entanglement—until a quick-witted lady stirs tender feelings and hot desire. Emilie de Sarron suffered burns to her body as an infant, and keeps her scars—and her heart—well hidden. But Joseph is determined to peel away her inhibitions, one slow steamy kiss at a time, to reveal the beautiful swan inside…

The Princess and the Diamonds: Princess Gabrielle can’t sleep at night. There is something hard in her bed. No, not just the stolen diamonds tucked under her mattress, but the handsome Marquis on it….whose carnal talents she can’t resist. But he threatens her secret mission, and worse, she stands to lose far more than the diamonds---her heart is at stake….

“…Strong-minded heroines you can relate to, breathtaking carnally gifted male leads…DiPasqua writes with a comfortable elegance and grace, and in turn, crafts a sexy collection that readers will love.” – Fresh Fiction.

“Ripe with steamy affairs, these lusty stories are hot enough to warm the coldest winter night.” – Publishers Weekly
